Success of Rubikon is special for Cordiant as the entire offshore development is being accomplished from Cordiant’s ODC at International Technology Park in Chennai. In 2006, with its experience in providing comprehensive range of banking solutions in Europe and Africa, Neptune decided to embark on an ambitious project  to build and take to market a flexible and scalable universal banking solution.

Cordiant’s prior experience in building extended development centers for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) proved decisive for its selection as the offshore partner. In line with Neptune’s vision, Cordiant customized an Offshore Solution for them at its Resource Lab for ISVs in International Tech Park, Chennai.

The Chennai team of 35 technology and banking software professionals who have established an analogous development environment, reporting structure and communication procedure with the Neptune Headquarters in London.

Cordiant executed the following to set-up the ISV’s team in India:

• Make arrangement for the ISVs technology team to be setup in one of the best IT Parks in India – International Tech Park, Chennai

• Placing advertisements for Business Analysts, Developers and Testing Specialists in leading newspapers and Job portals. Neptune on a regular basis was updated on the recruitment status and short-listed candidates.

• Conducting preliminary technical interviews and scheduling slots for final interviews by Neptune’s senior technical team visiting the offshore location.

• Make arrangement for Team members to visit onshore development center for induction and detailing of the technical expectations vis-à-vis the product vision.

• Cordiant also helped Neptune in in-sourcing a few Business Analysts from India, experienced in the Banking domain, for their London HQ.

As of today, the Rubicon product is developed and supported primarily by the team in Chennai.
