Cordiant has undertaken the following measures to protect the Intellectual Property of our customers:
IP Protection Policies and Agreements
- Contractual Safeguards ensure security of each and every contract made with our customers.
- Cordiant executes an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) with each customer, ensuring that all information received and deemed to be confidential will be maintained in confidence
- Cordiant issues an explicit undertaking that it will not reverse-engineer any of the customer’s products or solutions
- ISV customers may define a list of close competitors and Cordiant will not initiate work with any of them in the same application area.
- Confidential Documents Control Policy is in place to ensure protection of intellectual property
- Any confidential information received from third parties and customer’s clients are held in strictest confidence
Organizational Commitment and Culture Building
- Commitment of Top Management ensures that every activity at Cordiant is aimed to accomplish Information Security and Intellectual Property Protection
- Regular awareness programs are conducted for employees on the essence of data and information security
- Culture building activities with all team members at Cordiant ensures that every individual is aware of and respects the IP security rights of Cordiant customers
- Information coming in and going out of Cordiant are monitored using reliable software. This software also ensures proper access control on the usage of information
- Random checks are made on emails that go out of the official mailbox
- Effective backup policies and procedures safe-guard loss of data in any form
- Unfair competitive practices cannot be used at Cordiant or upon termination of employment
Cordiant Employee and IP Protection
- Every employee undergoes a pre-employment background check through an internationally recognized agency before they come on board
- At the time of coming on board, every Cordiant employee is required to sign an NDA and an Invention Assignment and Confidentiality Agreement
- Each Cordiant employee working for a particular customer may sign a personal Confidentiality Agreement with the customer
- Employees cannot disclose or misuse any proprietary information directly or indirectly
- Employees cannot use, copy, publish, summarize or remove any such information without prior consent of the company
- Employees must disclose all ideas, inventions and relevant information to the company and will be the property of the company
- Employees cannot use the name of the customer or project information in their resumes for any purpose during and after their employment with Cordiant.
